Nermina joined Vlahovic Group in 2018. Prior to joining the VG team, she was a Senior Expert Adviser in the Office for European and International Affairs at the Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts in Zagreb. She was in charge of the Asia and the Western Balkans portfolios.
As part of her professional education, Nermina attended the Diplomatic Academy in Croatia. Due to her focus on energy issues, Nermina completed courses at the Croatian Association for United Nations in Zagreb and the Diplomatic Institute in Bulgaria. She also completed a course in financial management at MAESTRO COLLEGE Croatia and the Vienna Summer School, with a focus on policy.
As a Senior Associate for Development and Economic Advancement, she was in charge of developing investment projects and initiatives for the city administration and Mayor’s office in the town of Petrinja. In that period, she wrote three policy papers on how to better utilise river transport routes in the County of Sisak-Moslavina, which were presented at the XIX International Transport symposium in Zagreb in 2014. During that period she was a member of the European Association for Local Democracy, where she worked on the DECIDE project covering Croatia.
Nermina holds a Master’s degree in marketing from the Faculty of Economy in Rijeka. Apart from English, she has basic knowledge of French and German. In her spare time, Nermina enjoys Latin dancing, is a passionate runner and tennis player.
