Vlahovic Group, in collaboration with the Croatian Employers Association (HUP), organized a policy luncheon with a focus on the benefits that widening the scope of electronic payments could have on the digital transformation of the Croatian economy and e-Government.
The main motivation for organizing this policy event was to examine the global increase of cashless payments in the context of doing business in Croatia.
Apart from pointing to the added value that electronic payments bring to the public sector, especially with regards to reducing the shadow economy, the event also put emphasis on the Croatian Government’s current and upcoming projects in the sphere of digitalization. The economic benefits of further digitalization were also discussed in the context of Croatia’s inaugural Council of the EU Presidency in January 2020.
The policy luncheon gathered key stakeholders from the Government, including Minister of Justice Drazen Bosnjakovic and Minister of Public Administration Lovro Kuscevic, the Croatian Parliament, regulatory agencies, third parties and other relevant organizations.
