Vlahovic Group organised a workshop for businesses and companies, sharing its know-how on how to effectively and successfully communicate with state institutions. The event gathered representatives from various industries and multinational companies, aiming to untangle the process of communicating with state officials and politically elected officials.
Detailed case studies presented during the event managed to attract a lot of attention as well as practical experience shared by the VG team on how to engage with decision-makers. Some of the main conclusions were that the private sector needs to be better involved in law-making processes, both at the EU and national levels. Participants agreed that, when it comes to effective communication with politicos, it was crucial to understand who were the main policy-makers for a particular sector, and to, above all, be professional and transparent when reaching out to government bodies. Persistence helps too.
The main idea behind this workshop was to highlight the value of private sector involvement in the political decision-making process, both for companies, as well as the civil service.
